Regulators question Nissan’s software updates

As a result of receiving 124 complaints from Nissan customers, the U.S. regulator has opened what it calls a “recall query” to assess whetherSoftware Continuous Improvement jpg the software fixes were effective.

The recalls were initiated because the passenger seat sensor does not always recognize that an adult is sitting there, causing the passenger air bag to fail to deploy in the event of a crash.
